Carmen was chosen to pen the feature screenplay,‘ A Season to Remember’, a SPORTS-THEMED Christmas movie for Oprah Winfrey's OWN Network. The film goes into production in July 2024, and will air in November 2024 on OWN, DISCOVERY +, and MAX.
Carmen Elly Wilkerson is an award winning Filmmaker with a unique background as a writer and director. Carmen's work has received a Hollywood Foreign Press Award, a Cine Eagle Award, and a Directors Guild Award. Her feature-length screenplay, The Gown Man, was a finalist for the Black List Feature Residency Program, and twice she was a finalist in the Sundance Writer’s Lab. Carmen apprenticed at CBS TV as a Director Trainee on the hit shows, NCIS and CSI-NY. Carmen has had the honor to direct such television actors as Fred Savage, Robert Pine, and Lex Scott Davis. Carmen attended The American Film Institute’s Directing Program, where she received her Master’s in Fine Arts.
